time for you
We believe that everyone can get involved in fitness activities to ultimately improve their physical and mental wellbeing, no matter what fitness ability you begin with.
We offer a range of programmes across our centres so that you can move more, socialise more and just feel good!
Exercise by referral
Our 12 week scheme aims to increase exercise and activity for people who want to improve their health. It is aimed at people who currently do either no or very little physical activity but who are motivated to do more.

Punch out Parkinson’s
Boxing exercise class for strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health.
North East Derbyshire District Council is working in partnership with Parkinson’s UK to provide exercise opportunities to people living with Parkinson’s across the district.
Exercise sessions are charged at £5.35 per session to those living with Parkinson’s regardless of where they live. Carers can also attend for free, with tea and coffee also included! Sessions run at Eckington and Killamarsh Active.
Chair-based exercise classes:
Being more active can help reduce the risk of major disease, reduce the risk of falling, improve mood, sleep quality and reduce stress. We run low impact chair-based exercise classes at all four centres, aimed at increasing your cardiovascular fitness whilst improving your strength, mobility and flexibility, delivered by a qualified instructor.
