Whether you’re taking your first steps towards a more active lifestyle, returning after a break, or looking to build strength, confidence and wellbeing, our team is here to support you every step of the way. With a friendly, approachable attitude and a genuine passion for helping others, they create a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable to get involved.
From leading sessions in the community to offering guidance, encouragement and expert advice, our instructors are dedicated to helping you feel your best – physically and mentally. Favourite exercise:- Glutes & legs, RDL’s & abductors; any form of dumbbell/machine lower body exercises.
Signature class:- Water exercises, mainly aqua-jog and aquacise.
Tip:- Find enjoyable activities and be CONSISTENT not intense.
Fun fact: I qualified as a fitness instructor at the age of 28, the same year the iconic singer CHER brought out her very first fitness video… ‘A New Attitude, The Ultimate Step Workout’. (on VHS cassette Tape!) Did you guess the year? It was 1991. 😊

Signature Fitness class: Either Lift, Sweat or Functional/Stronger for Longer
Top Fitness tip: Find something you enjoy doing, because if you enjoy it, you are far more likely to stick with it!
Fun fact: I’m a qualified Olympic Lifting Coach and Technical Official

Top Fitness tip: Classes are a great way to get a good workout, learn new exercises and meet new people
Fun fact: The 10,000 steps a day target was created in the 1960s by a Japanese company to sell their new pedometer – around 4,000 steps can lower the risk of heart disease

Favourite Exercise: A good outdoor run, anything between 5k to 10k
Signature Fitness Class: Aquacise
Top Fitness Tip: Keep fitness goals achievable and build off them rather than have one big unattainable one from the get-go; you should enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
Fun Fact: Outside of working in fitness and leisure, I am an avid film-watcher, so chances are if I’m not at Clay Cross Active, I’m at the cinema.
