Les Mills The trip

THE TRIP is a fully immersive workout experience that combines a 40-minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally-created worlds. With its cinema-scale screen and sound system, this IMMERSIVE FITNESS workout takes motivation and energy output to the next level, burning serious calories. This facility will be coming soon to Clay Cross Active.

Where the mind goes, the body will follow. That’s the philosophy behind THE TRIP, a workout powered by Les Mills’ IMMERSIVE FITNESS innovation. Inspired by cinema, live concert experiences and interactive gaming, IMMERSIVE FITNESS combines purpose-built studios and live instructors with immersive video. Much more than an exercise class, it’s an immersive sensory experience that pushes your fitness into a new dimension.

Les mills RPM

This is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact and you can burn up to 500 calories a session**.

With great music pumping and the group cycling as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly rotate the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness.

Les Mills Sprint

A 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results.

It’s a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits. A high intensity, low impact workout, it’s scientifically proven to return rapid results.

The 30 minutes you put into a LES MILLS SPRINT workout drives your body to burn calories for hours. You combine bursts of intensity, where you work as hard as possible, with periods of rest that prepare you for the next effort. The payoff? You smash your fitness goals, fast.

Mindfulness classes

Just a great way to exercise both your mind and body! Ideal if you are looking to feel more calm, more balanced and more revitalised.

Yoga

Linked with a focus on breathing this eastern art incorporates strength and flexibility to help develop an inner sense of well being.

Pilates

Helps improve posture and movement by strengthening and balancing all muscles of the body.

Strength classes

Achieve more muscular strength and endurance from classes that use either weighted or bodyweight exercises.

Sweat45

A high intensity session with focuses on cardiovascular, resistance and core exercises.

Kettlebells & Dumbbell HIIT

An intense full body workout using weights to train your entire body.

Abs Class

Our abs classes are a great way to tone up the troublesome abdominal region! The class consist of specific moves, sequences and routines put together to give you a great abdominal workout.

Strength Classes

Improve muscle strength, core stability and posture.

Functional Bootcamp

Strength training that readies your body for daily activities. Using your own bodyweight and equipment.

Core

A 30 minute class for developing and strengthening the muscles in the abdomen and lower back.

Aerobics classes

Just a great way to raise your heart rate and get the body moving!

G-Cycle

High energy calorie burning workout on the indoor cycles which gets the heart pumping.

HIIT

HIIT (or high intensity interval training) is a high impact, high intensity advanced fitness workout.

Hips, Bums and Tums

This class is designed to target those stubborn areas that normal exercise does not get to.

Zumba

Zumba takes the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why these classes are often called exercise in disguise.

Aerobics

A high energy and fun fitness class where you perform a range of aerobic moves shown to you by our motivational instructors! No matter what your age or ability, an aerobics class is an inclusive activity suitable for everyone.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp is a full body workout to help build strength and fitness using a variety of exercises and equipment.

Forever Active

A multisport activity session, with the aim of improving your overall wellbeing with a chance to socialise and meet new friends.

Chairobics

Chair based low impact exercise to music led by a fitness instructor.

Cardio Club

Open to people with a cardiac related problem and their carers, it follows programme of activities to help you overcome cardiac complaints or cardiac surgery.
